My wife just recently bought a copy of Wall-E Blu-ray and I have to articulate it’s better than I hoped it to wouldbe. After many of depressed years of doing what he was built for, WALL-E (short for Waste Allocation Load Lifter Earth-Class) finds a another purpose in life (besides accumulating knick-knacks) when he encounters a smooth search robot named EVE.
Wall-E is current movie from from Pixar Animation, it contains the voices of stars including the always humorous Fred Willard. It as well stars the pretty Sigourney Weaver and every bit as humorous Jeff Garlin and of course Pixar mainstay – John Ratzenberger. Brining In over $221 million has solidified Wall-E as new hit for Pixar.
Finding Nemo director Andrew Stanton passes himself with this endearingly sick Pixar animation that beams up consumerism, musicals, Apple computers, and 2001: A Space Odyssey. The authority and skill with which Stanton’s team have prolonged the parameters of their art form are amazing.
All The Same while you can praise Pixar for seeking to raise the stakes with Wall-E DVD, but the farther the movie goes on the more one values the impact of that dramatic initial half-hour. The movie feels weirdly, and disappointingly, disjointed, something that starts out as poetry and closes as product.
WALL-E is in all probability the cuddliest picture ever produced about humans destroying the world. Not just is this a grand Sci-Fi flick, it’s also easily one of the most affectionate! Ignoring this as only another childrens picture is not simply unfair to the picture, it’s unfair to you.
